About
City Outdoor Advisors is a completely independent organisation specialised in helping councils and municipalities worldwide to optimise the quality and income generated by ‘outdoor’ advertising.
Outdoor advertisers pay municipal authorities good money for the use of public space. But they sometimes also provide cities with bus shelters, public loos and so forth in exchange for the right to place advertisements on them. This trade gives outdoor advertisers and local authorities a strong incentive to work with one another. City governments, after all, are almost always short of cash.
City Outdoor Advisors has developed a strong track record in advising municipal authorities in the Netherlands and Belgium.
City Outdoor Advisors is founded in the Netherlands in the year 2004 by Fred Kuhlman and Ronald Veldhuijzen van Zanten; originally under the brand ‘Nationaal Adviesbureau Buitenreclame’ NABB. Fred and Ronald have a wide-ranging experience in the media world; both have worked as Directors in Global in the Netherlands.
Fred Kuhlman was Managing Director of Global from 1999 until 2004. Before that he was Director of Cebuco (central marketing services organisation of the Dutch Newspapers) and Nielsen.
Ronald Veldhuijzen van Zanten worked as Commercial Director for Global in 2003 and 2004. Before that he was Commercial Director for De Telegraaf, the largest newspaper across The Netherlands. Ronald started and built the company woonkrant.nl (a real estate site).
